The Challenge
The primary objective of these designs was to create visually compelling materials that effectively conveyed MiSide’s mission and impact, ensuring potential sponsors understood the organization’s value and were encouraged to contribute.
Our fundraising goal for the event was $500,000.
Despite being our largest fundraising event, we had to balance this project alongside other ongoing campaigns, creating tight deadlines and requiring efficient time management.
My Role
I was responsible for designing all visual content across multiple platforms, including print, website, social media, and other communication channels. My work included event materials such as story cards, slideshows, and event signage. Additionally, on the night of the event, I served as the event photographer and videographer, capturing key moments to support post-event marketing and donor engagement.
Process & Approach
For this year’s event branding, I wanted to spotlight a real client served through our programs. I personally photographed a child from our Early Childhood Education Program and used Adobe Fresco to create a vibrant, stylized portrait.
I incorporated bright colors in illuminated areas and applied a grayscale filter to ensure clarity in contrast and readability for all viewers.
The dark background juxtaposed with the vivid colors emphasized the client as the focal point—representing the transformative impact of MiSide’s work in making lives more colorful and fulfilling.​​​​​​​
